Assistance Program

In the first four years, BSides Canberra proudly supported Hackers Helping Hackers by providing complimentary tickets and board involvement to assist their cause. Unfortunately, we were deeply saddened by the discontinuation of this remarkable initiative. However, this setback inspired us to take action. In response, we established our own Assistance Program specifically for BSides Canberra 2020, which we are delighted to announce has been an ongoing success. We are thrilled to continue offering this program in subsequent years, as part of our commitment to fostering inclusivity and accessibility within our community.

What does the program entail?

We are pleased to present two levels of financial assistance for those attending BSides Canberra. The availability of each tier depends on the generosity of our sponsors and the funding allocated by the conference organizers. It's important to note that the assistance program provides financial support only.

Tier-1	This tier encompasses round-trip flights to and from Canberra, three nights of accommodation, and entry to BSides Canberra 2024.	TBD
Tier-2	This tier covers entry to BSides Canberra	4

Please keep in mind that the program does not include other expenses such as travel incidentals, meals, or additional amenities. It is solely aimed at addressing financial barriers to attendance.

Who can apply?

The Assistance Program welcomes applications from individuals who meet the following criteria:

1. Facing financial contraints that would make attendance unachievable
2. Based in Australia or New Zealand
3. Over 18 years old
